Last season, the club vice-champion of Europe was PGE Skra Bełchatów, that lost with Zenit Kazań, at the most important match. The European Volleyball Federation (CEV) has not yet decided about the ‘wild cards’ for the Champions League (women).

Let’s remind that in season 2011/12, at the final of the Cup of Europe, four polish teams performed, including PGE Skra (Champions League-men), Asseco Resovia Rzeszów (CEV) oand Tytan AZS Częstochowa and AZS Politechnika Warszawska (Challenge Cup). The last trophy has been won by the team from Częstochowa.
