On August 28-29 in Krynica Morska will be held XIX Old Boy Polish Beach Volleyball Championship. The courts, on which the matches will be played, will be set in the sports sector at the beach in Krynica Morska (left side of the beach, down Bałtycka street). The Championship will be played in five age categories: +80, +85, +90, +100, +110. It means that the total age of the two players in one team must not be lower than 80, 85, 90, 100 and 110 years. A maximum of 60 teams (12 in each category) will take part in the tournament in Krynica Morska. The Championships will follow the beach volleyball regulations of the Polish Volleyball Federation, as well as the double elimination scoring system, known as the Brazilian system – two won sets (15 points). Every single player must have a valid PVF’s beach volleyball license, what guarantees the viewers the highest level of the competition.
The contestants of the Old Boy Championships are passionate players of high standing in their companies and renown players, who represented our country in the national tournaments in the past. We invite volleyball fans and players to Krynica Morska for the last weekend of summer. The organizers of the Polish Championship are the Polish Volleyball Federation, City Hall of Krynica Morska and Sport Mega Marketing. 19.00 hrs – check-in for the contestants at Dom Kultury Parnas in Krynica Morska, 108 Gdańska Street (in the Fire Department’s building)
Saturday – 28.08.2010
9.00 – the beginning of the tournament
19.00 – the end of the tournament
20.00 – banquet at Kahlberg Hotel (1 Bosmańska Street)
Sunday – 29.08. 2010
9.00 – the beginning of the tournament
15.00 – cup handling ceremony
