The Asian part of the SWATCH Word Tour beach volleyball tournament continues. At the moment the players moved to the capital of China, where the Grand Slam tournament is being held.  Two polish pairs have already performed in Beijing: Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Łosiak, as well as Michał Kądzioła and Jakub Szałankiewicz. After a tough match, the first pair lost with a well-known for Mysłowice’s publicity pair from Brazil Pedro and Marcio Araujo 1:2. Consequently, their participation in the tournament reached the end. The second pair performed slightly better. They managed to promote to the second round, but soon lost with the German pair Dollinger and Windschief. For this reason, they also had to finish their game behind the Great Wall. In the first round Kądzioła and Szałankiewicz defeated the Australian pair Mercer and Slack – in a three sets game.

Matches of the polish pairs:

I round: Pedro and Marcio Araujo (Brazil, 1) – Kantor and Łosiak (32) 2:1 (21:19, 26:28, 15:13)

Mercer and Slack (Australia, 21) – Kądzioła and Szałankiewicz (12) 1:2 (21:19, 14:21, 13:15)

II round: Dollinger and Windscheif (Germany, 5) – Kądzioła and Szałankiewicz 2:1 (21:18, 17:21, 19:17)
