In the final of the World Tour Mysłowice Open the Dutch players Marleen Van Iersel and Sanne Keizer defeated Marta Menegatti and Greta Cicolari (Italy) 2:0 (21:17, 21:18). At the beginning of the match the Italian pair gained advantage 5:1 and maintained it till the result was 15:14. Despite the effort of Menegetti and Cicolari the rival’s skills were more effective and soon the result changed on 2-3. At the beginning of the second part, the Italian team once again started to lead, but as the time went by, the advantage was on the site of the Dutch team.

The bronze medal was won by American pair Jennifer Kessy/April Ross, who defeated Sarah Goller and Laura Ludwig 2:0 (23:21, 21:15), during the match for the third place. – In the semifinal match we did not present the best of our skills, including bad serves, the weather was also a problem. We have not been glad because of our defense, therefore, we decided to change the tactics at the next match. In the first set of the bronze medal match we made too many mistakes, as we have been nervous. However, we are glad we managed to win the match and reach the podium. Now there are no favorites in the beach volleyball, everyone can be a potential winner-said Katy Ross after the match.

During the men’s tournament, in Prague, the gold medals went to Brazilian pair Alison Cerutti/Emanuel Rego, who stopped series of triumphs of Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers.
