- After conversations with my manager I decided to play in Piła for the next two seasons. He told me a lot about plans and goals of the team. The club is organized in a professional way, lead by a good coach. I like challenges. Our goal is to promote to the top five and fight at the European Cups and maybe even at the Women Champions’ League – said Tijana Malesevic.

pzps.pl: Serbian national team players are performing in ORLEN League and Plus League. Have you asked them how everything looks like here in Poland before signing the contract?
Tijana Malesevic: I spoke with Vesna Djurisić, who told me how good is to play in Poland.  The worse is bus travelling – long and fatiquing five or even eleven hours of transport – if we go from Piła to Muszyna. Everything else is really good. I have also spoke with my friend Aleksander Atanasijević from Bełchatów.  He confirmed that live here in Poland is very good. He plays in a small city, but there is not a long distance to the biggest ones. People are friendly. It seems Poland is a good place to live and to play volleyball (laugh). Volleyball is so popular here and I will have a chance to develop my skills in Piła.

- How do you plan to present yourself in front of the polish fans?
- Step by step, match after match, I would like to show what is the best of me. I hope I will be one of these players who will lead Piła to the European Cups in order to fight there against the most powerful European teams. I like being here. Volleyball is my profession which also gives me a lot of satisfaction and joy. Who knows, maybe I will stay here longer than only to seasons?

- Serbia is the Champion of Europe. It will face Poland in the same group of the European Championships. What are your plans as a national team representative?
- We will surely like to defend a gold medal and present our best at the World Grand Prix. Both Polish and Serbian national teams have won the Championship of Europe. Serbian volleyball at the top of European volleyball (laugh). I hope we will play a good volleyball. The most important is that we have an amazing atmosphere in our national team. This motivates us to make bigger efforts. We are glad to have possibility to play with one another. We are in a strong group – we will face Poland and Bulgaria. It will not be easy.
