Young players of the Jastarnia sport club trained in Spała. After the last year’s victory at the Orlik Volleymania tournament (in both age categories for boys) the players of UKS Jastarnia won one of the awards, two-week stay for 20 persons at the Olympic Training Center.
- We were welcomed warmly by the authorities of the Sport Center. We have been given great social conditions and free access to all the sport objects and the equipment. We could also experience the conditions our best polish players train at – said coach Leszek Herrmann.
Thanks to the award, the players could participate everyday in two volleyball trainings, swimming pool, wellness, salt cave etc. Furthermore, the youth team preparing to the 1/8 Final of the Championships of Poland played friendy matches against the teams Viking and Lechia Tomaszów Mazowiecki, as well as could join the training of the local team SMS Spała.
Young players visited local monuments and fortifications from the World War II. According to Leszek Herrmann in was a great adventure for the players of UKS Jastarnia. The award sponsored by the Polish Volleyball Federation was very attractive – it was an amazing experience.
- This year we would like to continue our competition and adventure with volleyball. Orlik Volleymania was a great idea. We can promote and develop volleyball, especially among the youngest players who are ready to participate in particular tournaments – said Leszek Herrmann, who is also a teacher in Primary School in Jastarnia.
