In the fourth round of the group phase of the Champions’ League, just like a week before, again we will see the Polish-Azerbaijan confrontation. Previously, Atom Trefl Sopot, Tauron MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza and Bank BPS Fakro Muszyna have lost their matches.

As first the competition will start the players of coach Waldemar Kawka. They have not yet won in this edition of the Champions League (Women). I want to preserve a hope for qualification to the play-off round, in order to do so Tauron players, on Tuesday, will have to win. At the last round of ORLEN League the team from Dąbrowa defeated Impel Wrocław 3:0 at the away match. They presented a good level of the game what gives hope for the optimism when speaking of revenge with Azerrail. –  We have been nervous, but at the same time very determined. Despite these feelings we performed the tactics suggested earlier by our coach – said captain of the team Magdalena Śliwa.  – In a revenge match with Azerrail we have to change our attitude and reduce the mistakes we do. If we play same as last weekend in Wrocław, I think everything is still going to be possible – said Tauron setter.

Matches with top European clubs are a test for us to verify our capabilities and a kind of exam to the ORLEN League and Plus League teams. In the past round PGE Skra Bełchatów defeated Dynamo Moscow 3:1, and ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów lost with the result 0:3 with Trentino Diatec and Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo. – The confrontation at the Champions League (Women) with the teams from Italy and Russia has not been a bad one. PGE Skra deserved a positive note for victory over Dynamo. Furthermore ZAKSA won with Trentino, at the away match. It has been a good game and with a little bit of luck the result could have been different. Coach Daniel Castellani’s team has a big potential and is able to win with the Club World Champion – said the Olympic and world champion, Ryszard Bosek.

Ryszard Bosek stressed that key player of Trentino is Osmany Juantorena.  – He makes a difference and can play unconventionally at the import ant moments of the game. If you find a method for this player, you are on halfway to success – finished Ryszard Bosek.

In the first matches of the 1/8 of the CEV Cup final polish teams had several victories at the away matches. Volleyball players of BKS Aluprof Bielsko-Biała and the players of Jastrzębski Węgiel are close to promote to the quarterfinal.
