- Even for a moment I did not doubt in my team. I knew we are able to win a gold medal. We worked very long for this success and finally we managed to do it- said after the final match Pola Nowakowska, one of the best players of the XVIII National Youth Olympics in Summer Sports 2012.
pzps.pl: Together with the team from kujawy-pomerania voivodeship you manager to win the gold medal of the XVIII National Youth Olympics in Summer Sports 2012. Additionally, you have been given an individual award for the best player. This is the reason for being proud.
Pola Nowakowska: Thank you very much. We managed to win. It was a hard tournament, but the medal is a reward for the effort.
- During the final tournament it was hard for you to move on court. Did you suffer any injury?
- Unfortunately I had injury of my back and kenes, but in several days everything should be better.
- In the final match there was a moment when the result was already 0:2 for the Mazovia voivodeship team. Did not you have any doubts about the victory?
- Frankly speaking, I had no doubts about success of my team. I knew we are able to win the gold medal. We have been working so hard for this success and we did it.
- Which match of the XVIII National Youth Olympics has been most difficult?
- Definitely the one against Dąbrowa Górnicza, from Silesia voivodeship. However, also the final match with the team from Warsaw (representing Mazovia voivodeship) was a difficult one.
- What do you plan after the tournament?
- I will start education in the School of Sport Championship in Sosnowiec, in the first class. I will learn in a high school and learn volleyball altogether. I plan to learn and train there till the end of my education. I also hope to get more experience and win new awards.
