Zenit Kazań lost with PGE Skra Bełchatów 1:3 (22:25, 25:17, 23:25, 19:25) in the revenge match of the II playoff round of the Champions League. The loses from the first match have been compensated. Last week Zenit won 3:2 in Łódź. However, the Russians have won the gold set 15:11and therefore promoted to the Final Four.
The Champions of Poland won the first set without hesitations. For a long time they led with 2-3 points. Zenit equalized the result 21:21, but in the following two actions of Miguel Falasca and Mariusz Wlazły PGE Skra regained predominance. The 2nd set began Rather negatively for the polish team. Zenit was leading 8:4 and 16:11. The Russia team had strong serves. Therefore, Jacek Nawrocki decided to introduce some changes. Jakub Novotny and Michał Bąkiewicz entered the match.
The Champion of Poland was doing great during the following two sets. However, in the fourth set the host team did not manage to defeat a well-prepared Skra, that started a gold set with result 3:1. The team from Russia made up their losses. Furthermore, they also had great serves.
