The commitee of the Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, in the United States of America, provided names of the volleyball representatives who will join the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2012.

The commitee of the Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, in the United States of America, provided names of the volleyball representatives who will join the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2012. The beginning of the Volleyball Hall of Fame took place in 1987. The gallery shows well-known personalities from the volleyball environment from all over the word.                         – Including players who have already finished their sport career, coaches and activists. Poland has the following representatives in the gallery - Tomasz Wójtowicz, Stanisław Gościniak, Edward Skorek and Hubert Jerzy Wagner.

In 2011 the Volleyball Hall of Fame joined: former player of the national team of Italy and current coach of Jastrzębski Węgiel club - Lorenzo Bernardi, former player of the national team of Serbia - Vladymir Grbić, player of the national team of Argentina - Hugo Conte, prominent players Magaly Carvajal (Cuba) and Rita Crockett (USA), as well as activist from the Czech Republic Frantisek Stibitz.

This year the Volleyball Hall of Fame invited: the first representative of the Netherlands,    the Olympic vice-champion and champion of ‘Oranje’ Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996), former coach of the national team of the Netherlands - Petera Blange. Five-time Olympic Games participant (1988-2004), two-time Olympic champion from Barcelona (1992) and Athens (2004) - Mauricio Lima (Brazil). The Olympic champion from Seoul and bronze medalist from Barcelona starring with the USA national team - Jeff Stork. Beach volleyball representative, Olympic vice-champion from Atlanta (1996), sport commentator, beach volleyball international activist and coach - Mike Dodd.  The deceased representatives of volleyball in the former USSR, two-time Olympic champion from Mexico (1968) and Munich (1972) - Ludmiła Bułdakowa and a two-time Olympic champion with the USSR team in Tokyo (1964) and Mexico (1968) - Georgi Mondzolewski.

The ceremony of the Volleyball Hall of Fame 2012 of the above mentioned nominees will take place in October, in Holyoke (Massachusetts/USA).
