Start of beach volleyball 2013 season is coming soon. It is no wonder that Polish teams are training hard for a long time. This year for Polish beach volleyball is special. In Stare Jablonki FIVB World Championships, in Mysowice for the first time in the history U23 World Championships.
Starting from this season, Slovak coach Martin Olejnak is taking care of three Polish pairs instead of only one, Olympic team Mariusz Prudel – Grzegorz Fijalek. Olejnak and assistant coach Grzegorz Klimek are leading now also pair of Michal Kadziola - Grzegorz Szalankiewicz and Piotr Kantor – Bartosz Losiak.
-Till now, I was responsible for only one pair. I wonder how it would be, because I have never before worked with such numerous group. This system works in different countries. Younger players train with older colleagues and learn more from them – said Martin Olejnak
Yesterday, after two weeks camp on Fuertaventura, Poles came back home. On the Spanish island are completely different conditions, sometimes blowing strong wind - said coach Olejnak - At the moment we do not know how it will look like a calendar, but we expect that there will be more tournaments on the beach and in such places, where the wind will be. Training with similar conditions will result during competitions.
We had some control matches with German couple Sebastian Dolinger - Stefan Windscheif and our teams won all of them. Now we are in Lodz and after we are going to Vienna, where we have really good conditions to play.
There is no doubt that this season the most important event are FIVB World Championships in Stare Jablonki 1st – 7th July 2013. – unofficial sources say that first tournament will be in March in Argentina but we are not preparing to this. We are preparing for the World Champs which are the most important for us and we want to show from the best side –ended Martin Olejnak.
