During the bronze medal match polish players Mariusz Prudel and Grzegorz Fijałek defeated pair Schuil/Nummerdor 2:0 (21:18, 21:19). For the polish pair this is the first medal this season – Because my co-player has been injured for quite a long time the first tournament we managed to play has been World Tour in Mysłowice. Fortunately, Grzegorz Fijałek returned to the game during Mysłowice event. We are satisfied of the result we achieved. At the semi-final we played against the Americans, however, we did not present our strongest side. We have made too many mistakes – said Mariusz Prudel.

In the final Brazilian pair Emanuel Rego/Alison Cerutti defeated American pair Jacob Gibb/Sean Rosenthal 2:1 (21:17, 15:21, 15:11). The match started in advantage for Brazilians. At the second set Americans managed to make up loses. The last part of the game belonged to Alison and Emanuel, who won the match 2:1.  – At the beginning we have been extremely focused, especially that we were aware of the power of this couple. Additionally, Americans present a high level of the game at the moment. For this reason we played very consequently and tried to get our rivals out of the rhythm of the game. We realized our plan in the first part, but in the second Americans returned to the game and presented maximum of their capabilities – said Emanuel after the match.

Emanuel and Alison will not perform at the forthcoming World Tour in Klagenfurt, because they begin preparations to the Olympic Games. The atmosphere during the Olympic Games is unique. Matches are performed every day, therefore it is so important to be focused. We realize it is not going to be easy, but we will travel to London with self-confidence – added experiences Brazilian. – This tournament was a very good performance of our possibilities. Our rivals have been better – our congratulations. Next week another important tournament starts in Klagenfurt and we hope to give our best – said Gibb.
