It’s not a coincidence that Michał Kądzioła and Jakub Szałankiewicz won the U23 European Beach Volleyball Championship. They proved to be second to none at the junior championships. ”We are rejoiced at the fourth success in Europe,” said Jakub Szałankiewicz. The Polish duo has won the U18 European Championship, the U20 European Championship twice, and now the U23 European Championship.

”The final match was extremely difficult what can be noticed in the scores (23-21, 25-23 Ed.)
Penka’s experience didn’t help him because he made a mistake at the end of the second set. The Germans were leading 20:19, but Penka sent the ball out. We managed to make use of it and several minutes later celebrated our success,” says the new champion.
