Michał Kądzioła and Jakub Szałankiewicz together with their coach, Sławomir Robert came to the country for a short time. In the first part of March they were staying in Tenerife, training and having a sparing matches. During one of them, they defeated Spanish Herera-Gavira 2:1. On Friday, again they will depart to this beautiful and hot place. Their return to the country is planned for the 4th of April.
-We go to Tenerife on another training camp. We will be able to train in good conditions. For the moment, we focus ourselves on practicing technical elements. During the last stay we joined the trainings and sparings with the players from Russia, Sweden and Spain – said the coach Robert. Coach of the polish team also mentioned that at the end of the camp, the organizers arrange a tournament for ten pairs. Coach of the Spanish team promises a strong set of the participants.
Michał Kądzioła’s and Jakub Szałankiewicz’s last stay in the country was a very short one. At the end of February in Anapa, Russia, they took the 2nd place of the tournament CEV Satellite Tournament titled “Russian winter”. – We treated the game in Anapa as a stage of preparations to the season. First of all we wanted to play against rivals who use technique of a high block and aggressive attack-said the polish coach.
This year, Brasilia Open will be the first tournament from the World Tour series. It will be held in term 17th – 23rd of April. A tough game for the FIVB ranking points will begin from the very beginning-qualifications to the Olympic Games will be based on this ranking. No one will slow down, the same refer to us. From Brazil we will go to China to participate in the following tournament-added the coach, Sławomir Robert.
Furthermore, at the moment Grzegorz Fijałek and Mariusz Prudel travelled to Los Angeles. There is another phase of their preparations to the season. – As we can see, Polish Volleyball Federation took care of our training conditions-said the coach, Sławomir Robert.
