Last Saturday the Volleyball Hall of Fame Committee (Volleyball Hall of Fame), with its headquarters in Holyoke, the United states of America, has officially added the next six names of great volleyball personalities to the Volleyball Hall of Fame 2012.

Last Saturday the Volleyball Hall of Fame Committee (Volleyball Hall of Fame), with its headquarters in Holyoke, the United states of America, has officially added the next six names of great volleyball personalities to the Volleyball Hall of Fame 2012.

This year the Volleyball Hall of Fame joined – the first representative of the netherland in this elite group, the vice-champion and the Olympic champion from ‘Oranje’ Barcelony (1992) and Atlanta (1996), former coach of the Netherland national team Peter Blange, five-time participant of the Olympic Games (1988-2004), two-times Olympic champion from Barcelona (1992) and Athens (2004) - Mauricio Lima (Brazil). The Olympic champion from Seoul and the bronze medalist from Barcelona (USA) Jeff Stork. The beach volleyball representative from the USA, vice-champion of the Olympic games in Atlanta (1996) also the commentator and Beach volleyball activist Mike Dodd. Also the representatives of the former ZSRR – two-times Olympic champion from Mexico (1968) and Munich (1972) Ludmiła Bułdakova, as well as a two-times Olympic champion from Tokyo (1964) and Mexico (1968) Georgi Mondzolewski.

Start of the Volleyball Hall of Fame was in 1987, in the Gallery of Fame which unites volleyball celebrities from all over the word. In the Volleyball Hall of Fame Poland is being represented by - Tomasz Wójtowicz, Stanisław Gościniak, Edward Skorek and Hubert Jerzy Wagner.

At the moment the Volleyball Hall of Fame includes 112 great volleyball celebrities from 21 countries.
