AZS Politechnika Warszawska lost with Tytan AZS Częstochowa 1:3 (24:26, 25:23, 25:27, 20:25) in the first match of the final of the Challenge Cup. The revenge match is planned for Saturday in Częstochowa.

At the matches of both teams in PlusLeague this season better statistics had the local team. In Arena Ursynów the visitors’ team was better, especially Dawid Murek.

- We could see a fierce battle on both sides of the court. AZS Politechnika had a little chaos in its game. The opponent team was much more calm – said chief of the training department of the Polish Volleyball Federation Włodzimierz Sadalski.

In the third set Tytan AZS had almost nine points advantage. The host team made up the losses thanks to serves of Paweł Mikołajczak.

- The game was very balanced and on a high level. The element of battle was not missing. I think the fans are satisfied. Nothing is sure for the moment. We will go to Częstochowa full of faith - said Radosław Panas, coach of AZS Politechnika Warszawska.
