On Thursday evening, players of the coach Lorenzo Bernardi have been training in Bronzolo (Italy). –The official training is scheduled on Friday, 13.30h, in PalaOnda hall in Bolzano. Afterwards the remaining participants of the tournament will have their time to practice. On Thursday-thanks to private contacts of Lorenzo Bernardi – a small school hall has been organized especially for our needs – said manager of Jastrzębski Węgiel, Paweł Szczebak. 13 ready-to-play players went to Italy, including middle position player, Adam Nowik, who has suffered injury lately.
Trentino BetClic is the host team of the tournament and after the group phase they did not have to participate in the play off. In one of the finals the Russian teams will face each other - Dynamo and Zenit. According to the regulations, in case the two teams from one country are being qualified, they must play against themselves in the semifinal. –Frankly speaking, I do not understand why the two Russian teams would not be allowed to play together in the final. We and Dynamo have made great effort to prepare ourselves to the Final Four. We were not given qualification to the tournament as a present, but we have worked it out. I think the drawing of lots to pick up the semifinal pairs would be the best solution in this case. At this stage of the tournament, there are no weak ones. However, the decisions have been made and we have to adjust to the specified conditions-says the coach of Zenit, Władimir Alekno.
One of the most experienced russian volleyball players, Roman Jakowlew, reminds that his team-Dynamo Moskwa for the second time in a row will play in the Champions League Final. Last year the team lost with Trentino BetClic, in Łódź (Poland). Jakowlew do not even consider possibility that the host team will play against Jastrzębski Węgiel in the final. I will be difficult-he says and in the eventual final with Trentino, the rival will be even more challenging. – Bolzano’s hall capacity is 9 thousand of spectators. They will surely support the Italian team.
Trentino BetClic coach, Radostin Stojczew, and the great american setter, Zenitu Lloy Ball, say that "already before the game some try to find a problem." – Therefore, I remind it is Final Four, it is not a joke. In this phase, there are no weak ones. We will see four the best teams of Europe - said Lloy Ball. The coach of the host team says, if many consider us as a fovorite, we will do our best to identify ourselves with it.
