The players from ZAKSA Kędzierzyn Koźle came back from Italy, after the match won with Sisley Treviso 3:2. On Saturday they will play an important home match of the CEV Cup Final. – We want to win the Cup-says the middle player of ZAKSA, Wojciech Kaźmierczak.
CEV Cup Final has been a hot topic in Kedzierzyn-Koźle since several days. Purchasing a ticket for the Saturday’s match is a matter of honor. However, there are no chances anymore to observe the match from the tribunes. All the tickets have been sold. ZAKSA will be supported by 3.5 thousand of spectators, thus there were twice as many willing to come. The final preparations to the match are being performed in the club.
-It is a great final. Everything must be perfect-says President of ZAKSA, Kazimierz Pietrzyk.
Except fans of the team from Kędzierzyn, the hall will also be occupied by the italian fans, journalists from both countries and many quests invited-for example Andrea Anastasi, a new coach of the polish senior men’s national team, who will come to Katowice today and later travel to Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
Victory in the first match with such a strong team, like Sisley, puts ZAKSA in a comfortable situation.
-This victory is definitely a clue of the second match. In Italy we have been fighting till the very end-and it was worth it. Before the revenge match we are in a better situation, but this is not the end of the battle-said Wojciech Kaźmierczak.
Sisley was the favorite, but our team made a surprise and won in tie-break.
-The Italian team did the great job. They showed their level in two matches. Whenever we made any mistake, immediately they used the opportunity to get back several points. Nevertheless, we managed to defend. We tried to maintain consequent in our tactic and it was worth the effort-added our middle player.
The revenge match is on Saturday, at 16.30h at “Azoty” hall. Robert Piazza’s team must do their best to get to the “gold set”. Sisley is supposed to arrive to Kędzierzyn at noon. Their training is scheduled 17.30h. Less than 24 hours later the big match will begin.
-If they show 120 percent of their possibilities, then we must show 130 percent of ours. We will do everything in order to win the match. We want to win the Cup – says Wojciech Kaźmierczak.
