In this year’s World League group C we will see the following teams of: Serbia, Argentina, Finland and Portugal. The Portugal will perform instead of Egypt. Let’s recall that the final tournament will take place between 6th – 10th of July, in Ergo Arena hall, on the border of the cities Gdańsk and Sopot. Poland as a host has been granted participation in the tournament.
In the group phase Poland will play with the United States of America, Brazil and Puerto Rico. The matches will perform in Łódź, Katowice and Płock. On the 27th of May this phase of the tournament will begin. Egypt withdrew from the World League 2011. The reason is a tense political situation in the country and the security reasons-informed the Volleyball Federation of Egypt. The national team of Portugal has already had the opportunity to perform in the WL, also against Poland. However, during this year’s WL qualification tournament they lost with Puerto Rico.
