Year 2017 summary: Boys' U19

Poland boys under-19 national team led by Maciej Zendeł and Sebastian Pawlik won the European Championship Qualification in Spała and progressed to the final tournament which was held in Puchov, Slovakia and Győr, Hungary. Poland earned the 5th place and qualified for the World Championship in Bahrain. In the final of the event Czech Republic took a victory over Italy 3:2 (25:19, 14:25, 25:17, 19:25, 15:13), Turkey claimed bronze winning with Russia 3:2 (25:22, 21:25, 24:26, 25:17, 15:13).

From July 24 to 29, the national team competed at the XIV European Youth Olympic Festival in Győr, finishing on 7th place.

At the World Championship, Poland lost all their games and competed in 17th-20th place matches, claiming two victories. Iran won gold medal defeating Russia 3:1 (25:20, 25:23, 21:25, 25:20), and Japan took victory over Korea in bronze medal match 3:0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:18).
