Poland beat Japan 3:1 (25:15, 21:25, 25:23, 25:22) on the fourth day of the World Grand Prix in Ningbo. Coach Jerzy Matlak’s team won its first victory. It was the second win at the World Grand Prix. The first was over Italy three years ago. Poland will face the European champions Italy the last day of the World Grand Prix on Sunday. The bronze medalists in Europe have a chance to win a medal.

“It’s a pity that we didn’t win with the USA. We lost an opportunity then,” said Milena Sadurek after the match. Poland was winning 2:0 and 24:22, but lost 2:3.
