The Poland junior national team has gone through a cycle of preparations. It has played against the strong Russian team.
“We’ve played enough matches, but we also had high expectations for the matches in Brazil; unfortunately, we couldn’t fly there. The work is going on schedule. We’ve seen the photos of the hotel and the court. I hope they look as good inside as outside. The sports arena is originally designated for the ice hockey, an extremely popular discipline in this part of Europe. As many as 7000 fans can watch the games here, but I highly doubt the games will attract so many people,” adds Grzegorz Ryś.
The junior teams are playing their last friendly games. Russia beat Italy 3:1 (25:14, 20:25, 25:23, 25:23). Russians in Bobruisk will face in group I the teams of Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey and Poland.
“Every single team is very strong. The times when only Russia, Italy, Poland and one or two more teams were the favorites are in the past,” said the Polish coach. In group II in Mogilev will play Belarus, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia and France. Poland won the qualifications in Montenegro, beating Spain and Italy, among others.
