In the first match of Qualification Tournament to CEV Girls Youth European Championships played in Litsk (UKR) Poland beat Latvia 3:0. Tomorrow our girls will face National Team of England.

In the first match of Qualification Tournament to CEV Girls Youth European Championships played in Litsk (UKR) Poland beat Latvia 3:0. Tomorrow our girls will face National Team of England. 

Polish team was a big favorite of this match. However, the beginning of the first set belonged to Latvia. Fortunately, girls mentored by coach Grzegorz Kosatka led to a tie soon and then impose  playing conditions till the end of the set, won till 15. 

From the beginning of the second part of the game Poland imposed its own style and didn’t let opponents take a floor. White – red did very well in the service. They let Latvia to score only 9 points. 

In the first set Polish athletes have one big advantage very quickly (9:2), but then in the Polish team prevailed looseness and girls began to lose points. However, in the end of the match girls showed their skills and Latvia had nothing to say in this match. 

Real leader of Polish team was Malwina SMARZEK, who scores 18 points and reached 82% in attack.

Latvia - Poland 0:3 (15:25, 9:25, 16:25)
