- Silesia is known from its work with youth. In Spała we could observe this voivodeship team, and it was easy to notice the experience they have – Said former coach of the senior men’s national team, Ireneusz Mazur, who last week watched the competition in the Olympic Preparation Center (COS) with sixteen participants. Among 26 players who joined Spała’s camp, there are five players from Silesia.

- Spała has always been kind of a summary for the two years of hard work in voivodeships. Introductory selection has already been made among the players. Another phase of the competition will be the next year’s Youth Olympics in Poland – says Ireneusz Mazur.

Furthermore, he said that this phase of training is specified with certain rules. – tere are no libero players among the teams and one can not perform a spike from the second line and everyone takes care of receiving the ball. It is about a certain unification of the training. 26 young players will meet at a short trainings in Sapła to practice with the coaches from the local school. It is also a kind of test to the youth men’s national team – said coach Mazur.
