The Cubans, vice-champions of the world, this year’s group phase World League matches will play away. The only hall at the Island, approved by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), is being renovated.

The Cubans, vice-champions of the world, this year’s group phase World League matches will play away. The only hall at the Island, approved by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), is being renovated.  

Cuba, one of the 2010 rivals of Poland, will play in group D during this year’s edition of the tournament, together with France, Italy and South Korea. The team will start its performance by the match against Korea players, on the 28th-29th of May, in Suwon Indoor Gymnasium. At the last weekend the team from Cuba will face the Italian team, in Parma and Modena, the 29th of June and the 1st of July.

Polish fans will have opportunity to observe matches of the World League group phase in Łódź, Katowice and Płock. The following teams will be the rivals of the national team of Poland: USA, Brazil, as well as Puerto Rico. The World League Final is scheduled for the 6th-10th of July, in Ergo Arena competition hall, located at the border of Gdańsk and Sopot. Andrea Anastasi’s team has been already granted participation in the event.

All sympathizers of volleyball in Poland will have close to Kaliningrad, where Russia will play against Germany on the 3rd -4th of June. Furthermore, in term 23rd-24th of June, in Berlin, a revenge matches of these teams will take place.
