Polish National Team arrived to Katowice on Wednesday from, for the sport camp. Today Andrea Anastasi’s players have one training in ‘Spodek’ competition hall. At the place there are also other participating teams.  


- We are looping forward to a very interesting tournament – says the Olympic champion and the Word champion, Ryszard Bosek. – Each of the teams we will see at the Memorial is one of the top European teams. Poland is the champion of Europe. Russia won last World League tournament.  Together with Italy Russian volleyball is one of the best known in the world. Czech Republic has many excellent players, who play in the national clubs. Czech Republic will be one of the organizers of the European Championships and surely will present their best. In Katowice we will see about the possibilities of the team. For all participants of the tournament Memorial of Hubert Jerzy Wagner will be an exam of condition before the championships. The team who will win the Memorial will surely feel much stronger.

Each of the four teams has very strong players to present. One of them is a Russian middle position player Aleksander Wołkow. – We do not think about how our rivals are going to play in Katowice. More important for us is to take our condition into consideration. We have to work on the play of our team. Besides, the teams that we will face are very strong, especially Poland – said Aleksander Wołkow.

For funs matches of Memorial of Hubert Jerzy Wagner (26th -28th of August) will be just the start of emotions they will be able to see in September during the European Championships - EuroVolley 2011! The championships will begin of the 10th of September. In the group phase in Prague Poland will play against Germany, Bulgaria and Slovakia.
