The excellent player has been suffering injury since several months. Two times he broke off the quadriceps muscle of thigh. – Already in December the doctor informed me about small chances for the return to volleyball activities. I realized that I have to finish my volleyball career. I wondered what else can I do for living. I devoted all my life to volleyball and did not want to quit it. I received the offer from Kielce. I though it over and decided to try myself in a new role – says Sebastian Świderski. On Monday afternoon he will perform as a coach of the PlusLeague team Fart Kielce. The former player will replace Grzegorz Wagner on the position of the first coach.

Świderski will have his debut as a coach on the 21st of March. That day Fart at the third match of the playoff round will play against ZAKSA. – I am sure it is going to be a significant experience and I will definitely undergo high emotions. Such things happen, but still one has to play. Let’s hope I will manage to return for a match to Kędzierzyn-Koźle this season – he said. The first two matches were won by Kędzierzyn’s team.

Several years ago Sebastian Świderski has transferred from Kędzierzyn-Koźle to Gorzów Wielkopolski. – It was at the beginning of june 1995 – reminds former coach of the senior men’s national team, Waldemar Wspaniały. – I was showed a boy. Despite his medium height he was able to jump very high. He was also very hard-working. I thought that he is going to be someone in volleyball.

This is how Waldemar Wspaniały remembers the beginning of volleyball career of Sebastian Świderski. The player very quickly joined the top six players at the Stilon Gorzów team.         –Together we won the Cup of Poland reminds Wspaniały. In Radom, during the match against Mostostal Kędzierzyn-Koźle we won the third set with the result 15:0. When leaving Stilon for Kędzierzyn I said that I will do everything to have Sebastian with me. In Mostostal he had opportunity to develop and as a matter of fact he used it. In my opinion Sebastian was on the top form when playing Final Four tournament in Milan. We took the third place. Furthermore, Sebastian won the best spiker and the best server award. It was an important moment in his volleyball career. He showed his professional skills to the Italy.

Waldemar Wspaniały stressed ‘as a coach, he is proud of having the opportunity to work with such a talented players like Sebastian Świderski, Marian Kardas, Rafał Musielak or Paweł Papke.’ – Sebastian performed many excellent matches at the polish national team. He was always ready and willing to play for every signal of the national team coaches. I think all of my predecessors and successors will confirm it - finished Waldemar Wspaniały. Coach Wspaniały mentioned that Sebastian Świderski was one of the pillars of great Mostostal team - one of the best European teams at the beginning of the early 21st century.
