- Paweł Zatorski: I know my place in a row
Translation: Karolina Piotrowska, 24 May 2011
Friendly matches competition between Poland and Russia finished with a draw. The teams played with each other two times-the first one performed in Milicz, the second one in Twardogóra. On Friday, Polish team was a leader, but on Saturday the Russian team tourned out to be better. During the second match Paweł Zatorski was given opportunity to present himself on court. – One can see, it is just the beginning of the national team story. There were moments when we presented high level of the competition, but there have also been passive moments in both of the teams-said young libero. – In my opinion Russians presented themselves better than during the first match, because the first meeting has been performed right after the arrival to Poland-added Zatorski.
The young player has been watching the match in Milicz from the tribunes. Therefore, he was glad to be appointed one of the first six players to play in Twardogóra. -I am sure the first libero will be Krzysiek Ignaczak, and I can play during such matches as for example the one against Russia, but I am glad because of this, as I have opportunity to play. I know my position in a row and I am grateful to Krzysiek Ignaczak for help and advice-said Zatorski.
Sparing matches against Sborna were the last test for the Polish National Team before the World League. –I think we could not even imagine a better opponent. Even though Russia has new, younger players, one can easily see their potential-they are not only tall, but also have great skills, therefore, we should be happy to have opportunity to play against them-said libero. Already on Friday the white-and-reds will play against the USA team, during the World League. The match will start at 20.30h in Atlas Arena, in Łódź.
