- Olympic Games: Poland with Russia in the quarterfinals

Several minutes after the end of the last elimination match during the Olympic Games in London, the drawing of pairs for the quarterfinals took place. In the following phase of the tournament Poland will face Russia. If they manage to win they will play with the winner of the match Bulgaria - Germany.
There were two main rules in selection of the quarterfinal pairs. First one is that the winners of groups will face the team ranked fourth of the group of the opponent. The second is that the teams from the same group can not meet with each other in the next phase of the tournament.
All the matches are supposed to take place on the 8th of August. The winners of the matches Bulgaria – Germany and Poland-Russia will meet each other in the first semifinal. In the second semifinal the winners of the matches Argentina - Brazil and Italy - USA.
London Olympic Games’ quarterfinal pairs (8th of July):
15:00h Argentina - Brazil
17:00h Italy - USA
20:30h Poland - Russia
22:30h Bulgaria - Germany
