- Logo of FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014 presented in National Theater

In September 2014 Poland will be the host of FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship. In Warsaw National Theater official presented logo of the event and logo of the hosting cities – Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice and Lodz.
-I am very happy and touched. I’ve been waiting for this day for many years. This is wonderful day for Polish Volleyball. Our discipline of sport is highly valued on the international stage. – said on the scene Miroslaw Przedpelski, President of Polish Volleyball Federation.
The graphic sign of the championship symbolize cup inscribed in a volley ball. At the top is white-red flag and the whole composition is in gold. Bohdan Pawlowicz marketing communications consultant and a board member of IAA – International Advertising Association – emphasizes clarity of the main logo. Presented logotypes are characterized by several positive elements, you cannot deny to the main logo the elegance and power - says Pawlowicz.
Logo of host cities refer to local symbols. Bydgoszcz symbolize three grain elevators on the Brda River. Gdansk - Neptun. Katowice –Spodek Hall. Krakow – St. Mary’s Basilica. Lodz – Power Station EC-1. Wroclaw – the Town Hall.
At the Gala sport and politics personalities appeared – the authorities of International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) with Vice-President Aleksandar Boricic, Minister of Sports and Tourism Joanna Mucha, Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechocinski, President of Polish Olympic Committee Andrzej Krasnicki, head of sport in Polsat, co-organizer of the tournament Marian Kmita.
Polsat is a long and highly valued partner of the Polish Volleyball Federation. As stated in the National Theatre " Polsat TV was when Polish Volleyball gained nine medals of themajor rank international events.". Andrzej Krasnicki, who is also a president of the Polish Handball Federation stressed that "the Polish Volleyball Federation is a model of good work and is designating the way, on which other team sports can walk."
For the ceremony came head coach of National Team, Andrea Anastasi, as well as Pawel Woicki, Fabian Drzyzga, Lukasz Lomacz, Karol Klos and Pawel Zatorski, who were on the sports camp in Spala.
- Winning a gold medal at the world championships is very difficult. However, with Polish National team we are able to do much. For now, we focus on the first game against Brazil in the World League - said Anastasi.
- Place of the presentation of the World Cup logo is symbolic. It's held at the National Theatre, and Volleyball is the national sport of the Poles. We appreciate cooperation with the volleyball - said Joanna Mucha.
-In the history of the World Championship Polish team won two medals – gold in 1974 and silver in 2006. The famous team from the 70s was represented by Ryszard Bosek, Marek Karbarz, Stanislaw Gosciniak, Edward Skorek and Wlodzimierz Sadalski.
