France by victory 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23) over Turkey  won Pool B. Laurent Tille decided to play with each player from his team, made possible for each of them to be a part of victory after though struggle. ‘The team needed to stay under pressure, so after reaching main goal for us to win in two sets, I just did it. It was good chance for them to show what they can, despite they couldn’t find the rhythm for a long time’ commented this situation Laurent Tillie, France head coach.

Match was very close from very first ball, however, it was France who was a leader on first TTO 8-7. Started to play their volleyball with spectacular Earvin Ngapeth pipe for 16-12. Till the end, France kept their supremacy with easy win 25-21.

With powerful spikes of Antonin Rouzier and still great game of Ngapeth, Laurent Tillie’s team was still focused on the game enough to stop their opponents. After Julien Lyneel ace, Emanuele Zanini called for a time out (20-16), but it couldn’t change anything in Turkish game. However, Turkey defended three set balls for France, though, Ngapeth spiked a block-out action for 25-23.

Tillie started to play in third set with reserves, what made a difference between both teams. France was already sure to play in the next round of EuroVolley, so there was an occasion for Turkish team to perform well . With brilliant Kemal Elgaz, who had 79 percent efficiency in attack after second set, Zanini’s team demolished Tricolores 25-18.

On first TTO, Turkish player leaded 8-5, but France evened the score by double-block on 8-8. Since then it was still neck-to-neck till 17-15 for France. Zanini decided to calm down his team, but with great spikes of Mory Sidibe it was impossible to change the way of the game. Nevertheless, Turkey did not even think about to lose this game and with single-block of Emre Batur they catch up the score to 21-21. With good spike on triple-block of Kevin Tillie, France eventually won 25-23.

At the end, the best one in all match was Elgaz with 16 point on his account whilst in France Ngapeth and Sidibe were the best with 15 and 13 points.

‘Congratulations for France, who won today and also placed first in our group. There is nothing left to say, we are coming back to our homes and I hope we will play better by next EuroVolley’ said Ulas Kiyak.

‘It was not an easy match for my team as yesterday we lost some of our mentally and physically energy. Obviously it was important for us to win this match and won all group’ stressed Benjamin Toniutti.

‘ Today was a really strange match. I’d like to congratulate with the first place in our group. Anyway,  yesterday I was satisfied despite we lost and I said thanks to my players. But today I’m not satisfied at all’ commented Emanuele Zanini. ‘ Maybe I need more time to understand mentally of Turkish players. Today we lost our chance to stay at tournament and that’s all.’

‘It was not easy for us to win this group. I think that today we had no rhythm, we needed a victory, but it was hard for us to reach this goal. We found the way to catch up with it, but it was not easy. For me the most important is to win with all the team. Today I decided to play with all players from my team and it worked out’ ended Laurent Tillie.
