Bartosz Kurek is among the nominees of the 78th Plebiscite of Przegląd Sportowy and the Polish National TV for 10 Best Sportsmen of Poland.

Bartosz Kurek is among the nominees of the 78th Plebiscite of Przegląd Sportowy and the Polish National TV for 10 Best Sportsmen of Poland. In the year 2012 we have had two big events – football European Championships and the Olympic Games. Additionally, volleyball players have been interested in the World League, where Poland had great success – won the gold medal.

The list of winners will be announced during this year’s Gala of the Champions of Sport, on the 5th of January 2013 in the Polish Theatre (pol. Teatr Polski). The winners will be given the statuettes and the ceremony will be accompanied by the artistic performance. The event will be transmitted by TVP1/TVP1 HD and TVP SPORT. Since years the results of the plebiscite are one of the most popular sport events watched in the country, completed with the Ball of the Champions of Sport, in Hilton Hotel.

‘It was his tournament. In July 2012 Bartosz Kurek lead the white-and-reds to the first in history ever triumph in the World League. In four matches of the final tournament in Sofia he gained 60 points, and played excellent against the USA team to win the gold medal. After the attacks and serves of Kurek the Olympic champions from Beijing have been helpless. 24-years old receiver has been given an award for the MVP player of the tournament.
