Indoor beach volleyball venue officially opened in Spała

An indoor beach volleyball venue in Spała was officially opened on Monday, November 21. Although the Polish beach volleyball national team players have been training there already for a few weeks, the official opening ceremony with cutting the ribbon was held this week in the presence of numerous guests.

- I am very pleased that thanks to our financial support this magnificent and modern venue was built in eight months’ time. It will serve our best athletes and I believe that it will help to raise the sport level, which will finally result in an Olympic medal in this sport - said Witold Bańka, Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism.

- So far we were forced to travel around the world in the off-season to be able to train on sand. Now, athletes from other countries will come to us - added Jacek Kasprzyk, President of Polish Volleyball Federation.
