Krzysztof Ignaczak, the charismatic libero who played 321 matches in Poland national team, a multiple national champion and gold medallist of the World and European championships was announced as the ambassador of the 2017 FIVB Men's Club World Championship. The event will be held for the first time in Poland and starts on December 12 in Opole and Łódź.

- For the first time in Polish venues we will get to see the best teams of all continents. Seven different countries, various styles of play and characters of players and, what is more, only the biggest stars of world volleyball. It will be an exceptional treat for all fans. I am very glad to be an ambassador of this extraordinary event - said Ignaczak.

The top eight clubs of the world will fight at the 2017 Club World Championship for the most prestigious trophy in club volleyball. In Łódz from December 12 to 14, PGE Skra Bełchatów will face Shanghai Volleyball Club (China), Personal Bilvar (Argentina) and Zenit Kazan (Russia). At the same time in Opole ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle will clash with Cucine Lube Civitanova (Italy), Sarmayeh Bank of Tehran (Iran) and defending champion Sada Cruzeiro (Brazil). The top four teams will head to Kraków to play the semi-finals and finals on December 16 and 17, in Tauron Arena.

Ignaczak’s main duty as the ambassador will be increasing the fans’ knowledge about the Club World Championship and about participating teams. "Igła" will show us the preparation of all teams and bring them closer to the fans in short movies which he made visiting all teams’ countries of origin over the course of one month. The result of his work is a movie series about teams and players - the biggest stars of world volleyball. Every episode will present many curiosities and behind the scenes stories from their trainings.
