- Goldies ties with Piotr Makowski’s team

One day break between EuroVolley clashes made an occasion to organize unusual match for Polish fans amid Goldies from 2003 and contemporary Poland national volleyball team of women mentored by Piotr Makowski. Some of those players will also come to ERGO Arena to support their collegues from national team, who will face Bulgaria by this evening.
Andrzej Niemczyk, former coach of national team of “Goldies” were absent during serious health problems, but his team was almost complete. Sadly, it was also occasion to reminiscence Agata Mroz-Olszewska, who died oversoon in 2008, aged only 26. In place of her, the court was entered by her daughter - Liliana, born only 2 months before Agata’s death.
On Makowski’s side, there were some players from team-B, as some of the stars were obliged to stay with their clubs. At the end, fans gathered in Gdynia had an occasion to see from Goldies: Magdalena Sliwa, Malgorzata Glinka-Mogentale, Dorota Swieniewicz, Malgorzata Niemczyk, Lilianna Mroz-Olszewska, Katarzyna Skowronska-Dolata, Dominika Lesniewicz (libero) together with Anna Podolec, Maria Liktoras, Aleksandra Jagielo, Izabela Belcik, Mariola Zenik, Joanna Mirek, Milena Rosner and Sylwia Pycia. Behind the net were Milena Radecka, Kinga Kasprzak, Patrycja Polak, Aleksandra Wojcik, Katarzyna Polec, Agnieszka Kakolewska, Agata Durajczyk (libero) with Tamara Kaliszuk, Anna Grejman, Zuzanna Efimienko, Ewa Sliwinska and Natalia Gajewska.
The very first action was significant one with Liliana’s and also injured Katarzyna Skowronska-Dolata. Both ladies left the court soonly. Two first sets went to the Goldies, however, it was Makowski’s team which dominated during third part. After fourth set, referees decided to finish the match with the score 2-2 (28-26, 25-22, 11-25, 20-25).
