Developres SkyRes Rzeszów one step closer to the next round of Champions League

Developres SkyRes Rzeszów claimed away victory over Nova KBM Branik Maribor 3:1 (25:22, 23:25, 25:23, 25:22) in Champions League. The team from Rzeszów have a spot in group stage in their sight. The revenge encounter will be held on November 11, in Rzeszów (match starts at 18:30).

The beginning of the match was not very successful for the Polish team. The hosts were leading 6:2 and 12:9, but over time players of coach Lorenzo Micelli managed to bring the situation under control. They tied the score and won the opening set.

In the second set Developres SkyRes Rzeszów took over the initiative, remaining with 2-3 points ahead (14:17). Then some mistakes happened, and their opponents enjoyed winning streak and attaining victory in the second set.

In last two parts Devopres SkyRes had better and worse moments in their games, however, they managed to win the match in four sets.

Nova KBM Branik Maribor is the most titled Slovenian women volleyball team. They took victory in national league four times, won the Slovenian Cup in sixteen occasions and triumphed four times in the MEVZA Cup. This match was highlighted by a really good performance of Iza Mlakar, a silver medallist of the World U23 Championship, who claimed 22 points for the host team.
