– All participants of the tournament were very good-said coach of the polish national team, Alojzy Świderek. – I regret failure with Italy, because we did not play on the level we were supposed to.

Last weekend the first World Grand Prix matches have taken place. Poles in group D defeated Serbia 3:2 in Łódź, however, lost with Italy 1:3 and Brazil 2:3. As a result, the white-and-reds took the fourth place, the last one in the group. – All participants of the tournament were very good-said coach of the polish national team, Alojzy Świderek. – I regret failure with Italy, because we did not play on the level we were supposed to. The same situation took place during the first two sets of the match against Brazil. Our game was not the way we would like it to be. It is not fluent and several simple mistakes have been made.

Polish senior women’s national team did not have time to rest. Today in the morning the team had a physical training and at 19:05h they departed from Warsaw to China. In a Chinese city, Foshan, the polish national team will play at the second World Grand Prix tournament. In group G they will have to face South Korea, Taiwan and China. – It is hard to say whether this tournament will be easier – said Alojzy Świderek – It is going to be a little different volleyball. Nevertheless, most important for us is to play our game, then we will be able to win with everyone. China is a hard rival to play with. Furthermore, they play in their country. Korea also presents a high level of volleyball. These two teams are preparing to the Olympic Games, therefore, some changes in their composition may occur. Taiwan differ from the two previously mentioned ones, but no one should be neglected.
