- 2017 Club World Championship is one month away

The volleyball players in great shape, fans ready - only 4 weeks left until the beginning of the 2017 Club World Championship - one of the most exciting volleyball tournaments in the world. The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship will be held in Poland from 12 to 17 December 2017 in Opole, Łódź and Kraków. In the opening matches ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle will play against Sarmayeh Bank and Zenit Kazan will face Personal Bolivar.
The top eight clubs of the world will compete in the first three days of tournament in Łódź and Opole fighting for spots in semi-finals. From December 12 to 14 in Atlas Arena in Łódź, PGE SKRA Bełchatów will clash with Shanghai Volleyball Club (China), Personal Bolivar (Argentina) and Zenit Kazan (Russia).
At the same time in Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa in Opole the reigning national champions ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle will face Cucine Lube Civitanova (Italy), Sarmayeh Bank of Tehran (Iran) and defending champions Sada Cruzeiro (Brazil).
The top four teams will head to Kraków to play the semi-finals and finals on December 16 and 17, in Tauron Arena. There we shall see which team can claim the most prestigious trophy in club volleyball.
Which of the volleyball stars will shine the brightest in December? Wilfredo Leon (Zenit Kazan), Facundo Conte (Shanghai Volleyball Club), Theo Lopes (Personal Bolivar), Jenia Grebennikov (Cucine Lube Civitanova) or maybe Łukasz Żygadło (Sarmayeh Bank VC)? These are the names of just a few of the best volleyball players in the world who are comming to Poland. For the first time in history, two clubs from Poland compete at the Club World Championship - ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Koźle and PGE Skra Bełchatów with their stars Benjamin Toniutti and Mariusz Wlazły.

A cooperation with Host-Cities works perfectly - said Tomasz Cieślik, President of Professional Sports Events, the organizer of the 2017 FIVB Men's Club World Championship.
An additional attraction of the 2017 Club World Championship is the PlusLiga All-Star Match "North vs. South" which will be held on December 15, shortly before the final weekend of the event. Volleyball fans can expect even more than the biggest stars of PlusLiga and great atmosphere in Tauron Arena in Kraków, because many surprises are also prepared for them.
The Club World Championships have been organized since 1989 and remain one of the most prestigious volleyball tournaments. This year Poland host the event for the first time in history. Krzysztof Ignaczak, a multiple national champion and gold medallist of the World and European championships, was announced as an ambassador of the event.
